Inspire S-Club, at Inspire Charter High School in Chico, is a High School service Club focusing on the goals and ideals of Soroptimist International. The Club is sponsored and supported by Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho.
The Inspire S-Club believes in gender equality and feels the best way to support this, is for females and males to work together to improve not only the lives of woman and girls, but by doing this, ultimately, the lives of all human beings.This year Inspire S-Club plans to work on a teen dating violence awareness project, the Santa project with Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho, a canned food drive, as well as a book drive.As their big Community Project the S-Club plans on providing a lending Library to the local Homeless Shelter – The Torres Shelter. The are having book shelves built and have a large selection on books for different age groups.Once a month the S-Club Students are going to Oakmont Retirement Home for their ” Adopt a Grandparent Day “. They are playing games and building on friendships with the residents.

“Seats and Feets”
The S-Club will be collecting Underwear and Socks for the local 6th Street Drop In Center for Youth.
6th Street provides services to local teens, ages 14- 24, who don’t have a steady home and help them with clothes, housing, counseling and technology needed to get them back on their feet.
Here is the final picture with the S-Club’s “Seats and Feets” collection. They collected 492 pairs of Socks and Underwear for 6th Street Drop in Center
Soroptimist International of Bidwell Rancho awarded one senior student, that has been with the S-Club since the beginning,
a $500 Scholarship!
This year’s recipient is Zouapa Lor.
